Provision of 14 lakh religious services during Hajj season
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Saudi Arabia has provided religious services to 2 million pilgrims and 14 million tourists during the Hajj season this year.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), 600 male and female preachers provided guidance to the people in several languages about the Holy Prayers to provide these services. Other topics on which people were made aware include the importance of Islam and moderation.
During the days of Tashriq, staff were also appointed to guide pilgrims inside the Prophet’s Mosque in Makkah and Madinah.
Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdul Latif bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh thanked the staff for providing services. He said that the Ministry’s free telephone service established to help visitors has proved to be very useful.
