Who is President Muhammed Shahabuddin | Bangladesh Parliament Dissolver
Sheikh Hasina Wajid’s government was toppled on Monday after massive public protests in Bangladesh, after which the army chief announced the formation of a caretaker government.
The next day, on Tuesday, the Bangladeshi president Shahabuddin dissolved the parliament there.
At present President Muhammed Shahabuddin is the only highest constitutional officer of Bangladesh.
After this initiative of President Muhammed Shahabuddin, the way for the establishment of the interim government and new elections in Bangladesh has been paved.
On the other hand, Army Chief General Waqar-ul-Zaman is also scheduled to meet with the leadership of the protesting students regarding the establishment of the interim government.
Who is President Muhammed Shahabuddin?
Shahabuddin was born in 1949 in the then-East Pakistan region of Pabna. As a student, he actively participated in his country’s independence movement from Pakistan.
