Taiwan soldier indicted for selling military secrets to China

A Taiwanese soldier has been indicted for leaking military secrets to China.

According to the World News Agency, between April 2022 and February 2023, Taiwan Navy officer Sergeant Chen obtained classified national defense information and images from his mobile phone at Pingtang, Yilan, and other locations.

Later, through a messaging app, he sent the photos and information to an undercover Chinese official and received 170,000 Taiwan dollars in return.
