Joe Biden Says: Democrats Challenge Me or Support Me
US President Joe Biden has once again insisted that he is not withdrawing from the election race, while the White House, on the other hand, has dismissed fears that he may be suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
According to the news agency AFP, 81-year-old Joe Biden asked critics in his political party, the Democratic Party, to challenge him at the party convention in Chicago next month or to support him against Donald Trump.
“I am determined to stay in the race,” Joe Biden said in a letter to Congress.
“It is time to come together,” he added. Moving forward as a united party to defeat Donald Trump.
At the same time, Joe Biden, speaking in a program of the American television channel MSNBC, said that he is “very disappointed with the elites in the party.”
He further said, “Anyone among them who thinks that I should not contest the elections, should fight against me.” Announce the presidential candidate and challenge me in the convention.
On the other hand, Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that he thinks Joe Biden will withstand the pressure and stay in the race.
“They have an ego and they don’t want to give up.”
Congressman Adam Smith is the sixth senior official from the Democratic Party to publicly call for Joe Biden’s resignation.
“I think it’s become clear that he (Biden) is not the best person to deliver the Democrats’ message,” Adam Smith told CNN.
However, other senior members of the Democratic Party have voiced their support for Joe Biden.
“I made it clear after the presidential debate that I support President Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffery told CNN. My position has not changed.
On the other hand, during the media briefing at the White House on Monday, Press Secretary Karen Jane Perry faced difficult questions from journalists.
During the press briefing, reporters asked him if Joe Biden is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, to which he replied in the negative.
